The Iris2 style is a long, straight style that falls to the small of the back. The hair in front is parted on the right with the hair edging the corners of the eyes giving the face an almost veiled look. The ends of the front strands curl under just below the chin.

Gurl 6 - April

Today's style is from Gurl 6. I wanted to do Gurl 6 hair today but I wasn't sure what style to do. I asked Kurston Brody if she would model her favorite one because I know that Kurston is a die-hard Gurl 6 fan. She was more than happy to share one of her favorite styles with us.

The April style is a long, thick braid that falls down past the small of the back with loose, curling tendrils spilling down the sides of the braid. Long, curly pieces fall down the sides of the face with longer, straight pieces touching the cheeks. The are long, thing bangs that fall slightly into the eyes given the entire style a tousled look. I told Kurston with the hair paired with this dress reminds me of the cover on a historical romance.

The Breathy style is a very loosely held side bun that is piled just the right ear. Strands of hair spill out all over including many pieces down the back. The face is framed with long pieces that fall below the jawline with a few strands brushing across the eyes from left to right. This is a fun style that says "I have had a busy day but I still look sexy".

Today's style comes from Gurl 6.

The Tasty style is a straight, thick ponytail that sits high on the crown and spills down the back past the shoulder blades. The pony is held in place at the crown by several thin black bands that color change with the hair. Long, swoop bangs cross the brow from right to left with fringed ends. Soft framing pieces fall in front of each ear following the contours of the neck to the collarbone.

The Glitz style is a short, straight style with subtle layers at the ends. There is a are a few stray strands from the front crossing over to the back. The November style is a long, straight style that falls to the small of the back with a bit of layers and curves at the tips. There is a black headband forward on towards the hairline with hair spilling into the face from the band. The hair in front parts on the right and crosses the left eye. Hair spills down the sides of the head covering the ears with strands ending level with the jawline. Lately, I have been into shorter styles so this is a nice change from the usual.

The Lila style are two, long ponytails that fall straight down to mid-thigh. The ponies are parted in the middle down the back of the head and held in place by hair ties just behind the ears. The swoop bangs cross the forehead from right to left brushing at the eyebrows to mid-ear. This young and fresh style works really well for casual clothing but can be a fun wear for formal as well.

The Bobbysocks styles are ball shaped buns that sit low behind the ears. Each bun is held in place with a black hair tie and has wisps of hair falling out of the ball for a more natural look. The Bobbysocks II style has swoops bangs that part on the left and cross the right eye to the jawline just below the right ear. Gurl 6 - Gypsy

It's pretty clear why Teagan asked me to write for Savoir Hair- we think so alike! Did we plan the pirate thing? Heck no. We just both love it! So here's the Gurl 6 take on it - Gypsy.



This style is cheeky. The bandanna can be tinted (As I did, to get this blue...), and the rough chunks that frame the face are just perfect, IMHO. Looks like I took scissors and just softened the front (As I'm known to do in my RL!). Absolutely beautiful.



The back is long and even, with enough flexi to make you feel really, really sexy. At least, it does me!

The Runaway style is a long, straight style that falls to the knees with half of the hair gathered into a messy updo with tendrils cascading to the shoulders. The updo part of the style is pulled forward on the crown being held in place with a pair of chopsticks. Fly away tendrils fall down the sides in front of the ear to the jawline framing the face. The name of the style fits it well with its many runaway tendrils given the entire style a windblown look.
