This seems to be getting out of control. Recently there have been a rash of Noobs on SL Exchange who have been buying full perm items like textures, clothing, and hair businesses and then reposting those items to undersell the creators/owners.

By now most are familiar with Sarabi and her legit buyers being ripped off. She was one of the first hit with this but now there have been so many that it is rampant. There are a handful of legit sellers of her items.

Here is a list of the ONLY legit sellers of the items as a full perm kit:

Goodbye, Sarabi Spatula!

It is sad but true. Sarabi Designs is closing its doors. Sarabi Spatula is known for her generosity for new players and being a visible shop owner to her customers. She is the created of the newbie style Destiny that many receive in their first freebie prim hair pack as well as offering new players a free style from her shop and a dollarbie called Anamaria. She will be sorely missed. She has a great sense of humor and instead of being offended by the review of her style called Handlebars she was highly amused.

For however long Sarabi Designs remains in existence, which could be as little as a hour more, all remaining hair styles and the accessories on the second floor of the shop with by $10L. This means that a full color pack of hair is only $10L right now. As of this posting the shop was still up and running.

It is my understand that Sarabi Spatula is willing to sell her business at the cost is $19,999L with full perms buy not exclusive. If you are interested in running your own hair business contact Sarabi through IM.

Sarabi Designs - Collette II

Sarabi Designs has closed and this style is not one of the ones running around SL.

Today's style is from Sarabi Designs. (Okay, so I found out that this style and a few others were just discontinued from Sarabi Designs but it is still a really good style. Who knows? Maybe she will offer this again as a newbie special or a holiday treat. )

The Collette II is a long, straight style where the hair falls down past the small of the back. Some hair is pulled back to the crown and styled into a sculpted fan. As odd as this may sound it is nicely done and is reminiscent of the sculpted wigs and falls that my friend has professionally done for her. The bangs are thick, wedge chunk bags that are angled slightly to frame the face. I really do like the new texture choices that Sarabi Spatula has added to her line and with one low price for all the colors this is a great deal.

The Collette II style comes in an everything pack that costs L$175 and the demos are free. The colors included are: black, blonde, brown, dark red, dirty blonde, emerald green, fiery red, gold, gunmetal, heavy metal, hot red, ice blue, indigo, midnight blue, pink, plum, teddy bear brown, turquoise, violet, and white.

Landmark Box

I spent a better part of several days, more than needed because of the lagged yesterday, putting together a huge list of all the hair shops on SL that I could find. I have put them all together, organized into categories and have the box for free at my shop, SYD: Shape Your Destiny on the newbie wall.

This box contains a box for each categories as well as newbie vouchers from Diversity Hair, GuRL 6 Hair, and Sarabi Designs. The categories are: All Hair Shops, Men's Hair Shops, Freebie or Dollarbie Hair, $100L or Less Hair, Lucky Chair Hair, and Newbie Vouchers.

Sarabi Designs - Handlebars

Sarabi Designs is now closed but this style can be found all over SL for around $1L.

Sarabi Designs is a shop I discovered from a fellow chair hopper. This shop has a newbie voucher for one free style and a lucky chair for lucky chair shaped earrings on the second floor. All of the styles come in a full color pack of four for one low price.

The Handlebars style is two ponytails that rigidly arc on either side of the head in beaded increments to the waist. Okay, my first thought was: WTF? I saw this style on a fellow chair hopper and cruised on over the shop to have a look. I was stunned by many of the styles there. This one in particular with the appropriate name, Handlebars. Yes, they do look like handlebars. There is no flex at all to the style. The hair sticks out like two candycanes fused to your head. My friends were not as polite. I got snide comments like:
"You look like a cockroach."
"Are those anal beads?"




The Handlebars style come in a full color pack for L$75 and the demos are free. The colors include: black, brown, blonde, and red.
